SOGI (Submission Only Grappling Invitational) is a submission-only Jiu Jitsu grappling tournament based out of Long Island, New York. SOGI’s mission is to provide Jiu Jitsu athletes with a unique platform where they can not only compete but also have the chance to win cash prizes. As the artist responsible for branding and marketing this event, I aimed to create fun and unique graphics that reinforce the tournament’s standout approach compared to other local events.

This project allowed me to blend my love for horror comics and Jiu Jitsu, resulting in visually striking and memorable designs. My goal was to capture the intensity and excitement of the competition while showcasing the distinctiveness of SOGI. By infusing the event’s branding with elements from my artistic passions, I contributed to making SOGI an unforgettable experience for both participants and spectators.
